This is an inclusive group of families from a wide geographical region, of varying beliefs, who educate their children using a variety of approaches.

HENCAST meets together most Thursdays.
Members organise activities such as craft sessions,
guided tours of exhibitions around town, visits to
places of interest, theme and performance days,
bowling, swimming and ice-skating.
If there is demand, members may organise a regular group,
for example, on story writing or book discussion which runs
for a number of weeks, or regularly through the year.
Tickets to the theatre bookings for children’s shows
at a discounted price are periodically arranged, too.
Often, activities are followed by a picnic in a local park.
Prospective home educators are invited to attend a meeting
or two without paid membership, to assess suitability
of ongoing membership.
