In Australia, in all states and territories,
registration for home education is
a legal requirement. Simply put,
if you’re not registered, you’re breaking the law.

To my mind, registration makes sense. That isn’t a universally accepted stance throughout the home education community however.
For us, as generally law-abiding citizens, so as long as the law isn’t requiring us to do something we consider unethical, we see no reason not to comply with the law.
